2020 has been quite a challenge. For many people they could describe it as the worst year of their life.
With a new year there is a fresh beginning and the hope of better times.
We can’t control every circumstance, but we can control our reaction to those circumstances.
My dad is the perfect example of someone who has not allowed his circumstances to control him. He has dealt with some major physical issues for a large part of his life, but yet he always has a smile on his face.
In this week’s podcast episode I have a conversation with him about how he has managed to stay positive in the midst of challenges. I believe you’ll find it encouraging.
So what can we do when life’s challenges seem to be beating us up and to keep a positive attitude?
For me (and my dad) it comes down to 2 things:
1) What you’re listening to and watching
2) What you’re saying
Negative news is bombarding us every minute. We have to make avconscious decision to turn that off and to focus on things that bring life.
For me that means listening to positive messages or podcasts and reading the Bible.
This is vital for me. If I go a day or two without hearing or reading God’s word I can tell.
Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
This scripture above is one of my favorites and it’s one that I read often and more importantly I confess this over my life.
Find scriptures that give you hope, read them and even more importantly…speak them.
Get in agreement with God’s plan for your life by speaking out His word.
Then when trouble comes you’ll be able to remain at peace because you know the Truth.
I’m praying blessings over you, your family, and your business this coming year!
Happy New Year!
