Someone Push The Reset Button

Where’s the reset button for 2020?

In all seriousness this year so far has been full of challenges.  I know many of you are going through some serious stuff as a result of the coronavirus – loss of a job, a cut in hours, decreased sales, not to mention all the health concerns, the worldwide lockdown, and disruption of our schedules.

My friend and student Tyler Killpack just lost a major stream of income and sent me this email yesterday:

“I thought I would reach out and say THANK YOU.  I teach fitness classes at Westminster College and when they shut down for the semester due to the virus, it meant I lost one of my streams of income.  Rather than thinking, ” I can ONLY teach my classes in the gym,” I made myself think outside the box and thought, “What can I do to fill the void?” Everyone still needs/wants to workout even if we can’t go into the gym.
So I decided to create a YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWI4zBoo5NgPJbk4JAgHH5A

I started posting workouts last week and did my first live workout today.  It has been a lot of fun and nerve wracking. 🙂  Westminster College sent a link to my Channel on their COVID information page and I have shared it with a few friends as well.  I’m up to 21 followers and have about 25+ views on a few different videos.   I know those numbers aren’t staggering but it’s a start.  Working out and teaching is a huge passion of mine and because I thought outside the box and got rid of ONLY from my vocabulary, I’m still reaching my students – and even more people now!

So thank you again for your help! You’re a great guy and I appreciate everything you have done for me thus far.  If you give some of the workouts a try let me know!! I love hearing feedback on how to improve! Also, if you feel it’s appropriate, feel free to share the link with anyone you would like. There are a lot of people working from home right now that might need an outlet! 🙂 “

How awesome is that?!?!

So…what can you do to fill the void as Tyler says?

How can I help you fill the void?

Let me know – ryan@ryanreger.com
