I get asked a lot how I juggle everything I have going on and what is the secret sauce to my business success.
It’s not hustle.
It’s not hard work.
It’s for sure not luck.
It can be described in one word…..Grace.
This is a word you have probably heard many times, but do you know what it means?
Here’s a snippet from my book Finding your Grace Place that will help explain this word.
“Let’s let Apostle Paul answer this from Romans 11:6 (NLT):
“And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is— free and undeserved.”
And according to Webster’s 1828 dictionary grace can be defined as –
“Favor, goodwill, the favorable influence of God, free unmerited love, and favor of God.”
So if we put these two together we get: The free and undeserved favor and love of God.
You don’t deserve it and there’s nothing you can do to earn it. It’s a free gift of God. It’s simply our job to receive it.”
One day of favor is worth a thousand days of labor.
I could fill a book with stories just in my own life of how God’s favor has put me in the right place at the right time and opened up doors of opportunity that I could have never opened on my own.
I’m sure you also have stories of God’s favor in your life.
This could be a “chance encounter” with someone that helped propel your business or “happening” to be at the right place and the right time to meet your spouse.
These occurrences might not even seem special or supernatural at the time, but when you look back it’s obvious that God’s hand was upon it.
Do you want to see more of God’s favor in your life?
Here are two very easy things you can do:
1) Recognize when good things happen to you.
2) Thank the Lord for those….Be quick to give Him the credit.
So for example, if you get a good parking spot say “Thank you, Lord, for your favor.”
When you’re in a long line at the grocery store and a cashier opens up a new lane and asks you to be the first one to go through chalk that up to God’s favor.
When you “stumble” upon an idea that increases your business be quick to give Him the credit.
When you just happen to meet someone that becomes a business partner or that has the solution to your problem say “Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to meet this person.”
I bet you can look back over your life and see big and small things that you know that you could not have made happen on your own. It might look like luck, but I believe it’s God’s favor.
Even in the midst of this challenging year, there are plenty of these favor of God moments. Be quick to recognize them, give Him the credit, and you’ll see even more favor moments.
