Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last several days, you’ve heard about Amazon’s review policy change.
Here are my thoughts in a Nutshell –
This is a GOOD Thing – It levels the Playing Field
Gone are the days of sellers with an unlimited budget being able to throw up sub-par products and getting them ranked and selling while the rest of us are busting our butts trying to build a real business.
Product selection is going to be even more important moving forward. Differentiate yourself. Don’t pick a product that is the same as 50 other listings.
– Discount the product initially and then slowly raise the price.
– Test Test Test
– Follow up with ONE Email
– Use Amazon Sponsored Ads
– Take Advantage of External Traffic (FB Ads, Pinterest, Instragram, Bloggers, Youtube)
Here’s what one webinar attendee emailed to me afterwards…
“Got sooo much info this evening from you guys. Thank you so much.”
Barrington and Lance shared a TON of nuggets last night on the “How to Crush Q4” webinar. You can catch the replay here –https://youtu.be/KdLGCMRdLnE
Here are a few takeaways:
Some people just need an injection of confidence. You can do this. Q4 is the time to make it happen.
Q4 can make the difference in your business.
Run an Amazon report from Q4 last year to see what sold for you then. Source those items again.
Avoid the race to the bottom by bundling a hot item with something complimentary.
Most sellers are lazy and won’t take the time to create bundles. Do this one thing and you’ll set yourself apart and reap huge benefits. (Lance revealed one of his bundles that sells very well at Christmas time)
Go straight to the source to get the best pricing (Lance and Barrington showed how they do this)
For those of you that source shoes… if there is no barcode on the box many times you can look inside the shoe and there will be a barcode on the tongue of the shoe.
Lance and Barrington also revealed some of their hottest selling products for Q4
Getting into a Q4 Plan group with other sellers can pay BIG dividends and save you a TON of time this Q4
Also, I’m giving away 2 bonuses for anyone that joins the Q4 Plan using my link (http://ryanreger.com/q4) – Jenni Hunt’s 2016 Hot Toy Trends AND my book Private Label the Easy Way. Simply email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your receipt and I’ll send you the link to these bonuses.
It’s not fun when the rules change or when things happen that are outside of our control.
When they do happen, we have two choices: quit or move forward.
You are of the type that is going to figure out how to adapt and move forward in your business.
In 2008, we started by selling furniture on Craigslist. For over 3 years our entire business was built upon Craigslist. Then one day it came crashing down because of a competitor using auto-flagging software (we think) to remove our ads.
Was that fair? No!!
At that moment we had a choice and we chose to figure out how to move forward. God was good to us and brought Jim Cockrum into our lives who told us about Amazon FBA.
Our business has never been the same – it has grown beyond what could have been possible through Craigslist.
It can be the same for you and your business. Use this as an opportunity to grow and move forward.
So what’s the solution? I believe private label is the best way forward, but not private label like you might think….Private Label the Easy Way.
Yes. There is an easy way to private label and I’d love to help walk you through it.
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last week, you’ve heard the news about Amazon restricting more and more brands.
Sellers all over the internet are in a panic about it and lots of experts have weighed in with their opinions about what it all means.
Do I think retail arbitrage and online arbitrage is dead?
In short – No.
Do new restrictions like this make it harder for us as third-party sellers? Yes.
But, business is always changing. Look at Blockbuster video. They failed to adapt to the new trend of streaming video when Netflix and Hulu came on the scene and they are now out of business.
When we first started selling online, our main source of income was Craigslist. One day we woke up and saw that most of our listings were being deleted as soon as we submitted them – not good when your income is based solely on that platform. Very soon afterwards, we found the Amazon FBA opportunity and now Craigslist is a distant memory.
So what does this mean for you in regards to Amazon’s changes? It means you adapt. While other sellers complain and say things like “Well, I guess I’m going to have to go back to my old job” you make the necessary changes in your business and move forward.
Remember why you started this business in the first place. Remember your why and diversify.
I love the private label model and it’s one that is immune to these new brand restrictions.
Let Jenni Hunt and I show you especially now why private label should be part of your business and how easy it can be on a free training webinartomorrow night at 7 PM CT.
Whether you believe RA and OA are dead or not, THIS is how you beat your competition for Q4!
Q4 is the last quarter of the year… October through December – and it is traditionally the busiest selling season because of the Christmas holiday.
Many Amazon experts will say it is too late to send in inventory for Q4… that you should have had your orders in months ago if you plan on selling well for the holiday season… and don’t even think about private label this late in the game.
But, I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I’m able to say – It’s NOT too late! And – I have the tools to help you get in the game and play big!
When most sellers think of private labeling a product, they think of ordering huge (costly) quantities from China to put their own brand on. Frankly, that can be a bit intimidating… believe me it isn’t the only way. In fact, there is a MUCH less expensive way that cuts time it traditionally takes to get a PL product to market by up to 80%! No joke!
Using the methods in Private Label the Easy Way, you can get your own private label product to market in 4-6 weeks with as little as $100-500!
That means you can have a product selling for the hot selling season that is just around the corner!

If you have read any of my books you know that I’m quick to give God the glory for any measure of success I have achieved. It’s all because of His grace.
For the last couple of years it has been on my heart to write a book about how to find and fulfill God’s purpose for your life. The result is a book called “Finding Your Grace Place.”
I know that it’s not your typical selling on Amazon stuff that you’re used to seeing me write about, however I wanted to give you an opportunity to grab it for free while I’m doing a promotion for it on Amazon.
In it you’ll find out: God loves you so much, that no matter what your past was He still Has an awesome plan for you, and in order to fully step into that plan you must receive His constant supply of grace. This message will encourage you and refresh your soul.
The promotion starts today and runs through Sunday. Even if you don’t plan to read it, would you consider downloading it to help me out?
Have you ever audited the time you spend in or on your business?
If you’re like me, it’s so easy to waste precious time on tasks that do absolutely nothing to grow your business. This could include tasks like going through endless amounts of email and checking how much you sold (sometimes many times a day).
But I’ve made a very interesting discovery over the last couple of weeks. My 93 year old grandfather passed away about 2 weeks ago and I flew up to Indiana for the funeral then my parents and I got in a car and drove 15 hours back to Texas as they’re spending a couple of weeks here with us.
Because of all of this I have had to postpone for a couple of weeks a webinar series I was going to do for my Private Label Mentoring Group, but for the most part my business has ran just as well with the limited amount of time I have had to attend to it.
The secret is that when I have had time to work, I have concentrated on the most important things that needed attention.
What that tells me is that the things I haven’t had the time to do are not really that crucial anyway so I should either eliminate them or find someone else to help me with them.
Focusing on the most important tasks has been the key during this time. If I can learn my lesson then I’ll keep right on as if I have a limited amount of time or I’ll do a better job of scheduling my work so that I don’t just sit down at my computer without a specific task that needs to be accomplished.
It’s too easy for me to get distracted on unimportant things and time is too precious to be wasted.
So if you sell physical products online then your #1 task is to find inventory. Other things like packing and shipping can be outsourced. My mentor Jim Cockrum says that you shouldn’t be doing tasks that you can pay someone else $10 per hour to do. If you’re still doing these $10 per hour tasks then make it a goal to move past that.
Maybe you’re ready for a VA to help you find product. Then that inventory could be purchased and sent to a fulfillment center meaning you’d never have to see it our touch it.
What about hiring someone locally to help with sourcing and your shipping?
The main point is to focus on what only you can do. That’s when your business can grow to its true potential.
Have a great week!
P.S. Check out this video I did several weeks ago about the 3 diseases of an online business – Shiny Object Syndrome, Analysis Paralysis, and Refresh Disease.
I know the title of this post sounds crazy doesn’t it?
Christi joined my Private Label Mentoring Program a few weeks ago and then shortly afterwards posted her story of creating her own private label product and exclusive bundle in under 4 weeks with less than $100.
I had to find out more. I wanted to see if her method was 1) Legit and 2) Could be taught to others to implement in their businesses.
After spending a great deal of time with her via Skype analyzing her method I know that it totally can and I’m excited to announce that she’s putting together a complete training webinar for us next Wednesday at 8 PM ET.
Christi is going to show you EXACTLY how she created her own private label product in 4 weeks with less than $100.
Because Christi is spending a LOT of time creating this training and because it’s a complete course from A to Z, I wanted to make sure she gets something for her time. So we’re charging $17 for this webinar. Don’t worry if you can’t make it live. We will record all of it.
Would you like to go beyond selling physical products and get into content marketing?
Do you feel lost on how to make that jump?
I honestly felt the same way a few years ago. I saw all these guys making good money selling information, but wasn’t sure I could do it. After all, who would buy a product from me?
The truth is, I believe there is an information product in every single one of us if you choose to go that direction.
I LOVE helping people figure out what information they have that would be marketable to others. So does Jenni Hunt.
Jenni and I have put together a powerful program to help you build and implement a strong strategy for moving beyond just selling physical products online.
We will walk you though our step-by-step success road-map and dig deep into various internet marketing strategies to determine how you can implement them to reach YOUR specific goals.
Here are some of the questions we have been getting since we first announced this program last week:
Q: How many hours of coaching is included?
A. It’s 3 months of coaching within the Facebook group – but we really want you to be successful so if that means we need to get on a call or two we are willing to do that as well.
Q. Will there be steps to learn how to monetize a list?
A. Yes! We will be going through the major strategies for marketing content… this includes: – list building (and monetizing) – product creation – turning content into profit – outsourcing – harnessing traffic – and much more (membership sites, coaching/consulting, etc.)
Our goal is to take you through these 3 months helping you to create a plan that you can implement and will drive you to results – and by results, we mean – drive you to reach your goals. Usually these goals include some sort of revenue So we will definitely be working with you to monetize the strategies you are implementing.
Q. Will you be discussing affiliate marketing?
A. Yes. Although, you may find that affiliate marketing isn’t the place for you to start… We will work with you to determine where your “point A” is – then determine your “point B”… and map out how to get there.
Q. What happens after the 3 month period?
A. The program to walk you through building your strategy and implementation is 3 months – but, you will not be removed from the group after 3 months and will have continued access to the FB group and resources there.

I’m writing this from an airplane at an altitude 36,000 feet as I’m headed to Portland, Oregon to co-host the first TAG (Take Action Group) Seminar with my good friend Jenni Hunt. If you’re going to be near Portland on Monday there is still time to sign up, but that’s not the reason for this email.
From up this high everything on the ground looks so small. Even the largest skyscrapers look like a toy. It’s all about perspective.
So what am I trying to say? Look at the bigger, positive picture. When you’re having a slow sales day or when an angry customer posts some bad feedback or when any number of things happen that are discouraging look at what is going right. It’s so easy to look at the negative things, but what is going right that you can be thankful for?
For me some of the positive things are:
God has blessed me with an amazing wife
My commute every day is to my office that is maybe 50 feet from our bedroom
I love the work I do that it often doesn’t even seem like work
We live in a beautiful home in an area we love
I’m preaching to myself here now too. I encourage you to look at what is right in your life instead of what is wrong. Look at what you have and resist focusing on what you don’t have. Don’t compare your business to someone else that has been doing it for much longer than you. Be thankful that you aren’t where you were when you started. If you’re just getting started, be thankful that you have the freedom to start a business.
And if you’re thinking about starting a business or haven’t got this book yet, Silent Sales Machine is FREE until Monday. It is the book that got me started and it’s author, Jim Cockrum, has been the most influential person in my business. Grab it here.
